1950s Lenox Ming Temple Sugar and Creamer Set
A rare and beautiful sugar bowl and creamer set in the very popular Ming Temple pattern introduced by Lenox in 1950 and produced until 1966.
The Lenox Ming Temple pattern features fluted rims and an exquisite design of pink/purple floral branches along the rims and yellow butterflies in the center against a classic Lenox white background.
As America's appetite for high-quality wedding china grew, Lenox started using full-color lithographic decals and Ming, introduced in 1917, was one of the first 2 patterns to launch and would consistently sell out for the next 46 years. The color decals created an identifiable pattern, which gave a hostess an immense satisfaction of knowing that her dinner guests would recognize the Lenox brand, as well as her sophistication in selecting it.

Please remember that these antique & vintage market finds are anywhere from 20 to over 140 years old and have been loved and used by several generations before us so please expect signs of aging and wear, as well as slight imperfections such as minor scratches, stains and gilt disintegration, hairlines (superficial cracks), nicks (tiny bits of damage smaller than 1mm, as opposed to a chip which is something you can easily see with the eye and feel to the touch), firing specks or similar technical imperfections. I do my best to note the more significant imperfections such as actual cracks, rust, chips, etc.
