This vintage medium-sized 12.5” oval serving platter by Spode in The Hunt pattern is an incredibly rare find!
Based on original drawings by J.F. Herring Sr., The Hunt pattern was first introduced in about 1930 and it was sometimes referred to as Herring Hunt.
The Hunt features scenes from British fox hunts. Riders riding magnificent horses leap fence and brook, as hounds pursue the quarry. Features scalloped edges, green borders and a vivid and stunning colorful design.
There isn’t another one of this platter out there and if you collect The Hunt this is your chance to complete your collection.
