5 Christmas Cakes To Die For

With less than a week left before Christmas the accomplished hostesses are working hard on their holiday dinner menu and recipes. And for those of you who (like me) are competitive in the kitchen you know that baking the best looking and tasting Christmas cake is the top priority.

I mean, baking takes a lot of skill, precision, patience, and sweat which is why at the end of the day you feel so much pride you almost want to run away with it so no one can cut it in pieces. Or maybe that's just me!

So I've been browsing through hundreds of recipes on Pinterest for new and daring Christmas cake recipes and these are my favorite 5.

Say this doesn't look like something Hansel & Gretel would have for Christmas dinner! Find the recipe on Supergolden Bakes.

"In this cake, layers of spice cake have been smothered in creamy eggnog filling and enrobed in silky buttercream." Oh my goodness, after reading this sentence I just want to make this so I can roll in that creamy eggnog filling and silky buttercream! Find the recipe on The Cake Blog.

#3 Sparkling Cranberry White Chocolate Cake

I'm a big fan of white chocolate so I'm really really tempted to bring this baby to life in my kitchen. Definitely a contender! Find the recipe on Life, Love & Sugar.

Listen. I am not a fan of peppermint. Like no mint chocolate chip ice cream or peppermint gum for this gal ever. And yet the day after Thanksgiving all my senses get really confused and suddenly peppermint reigns supreme! So I'm really considering this one, particularly because I know it will be a success with all the kids. Find the recipe on The Kitchen McCabe.
