Gorgeous set of mid 20th Century white milk glass glass dolphin candlesticks.

  • Set of two candlesticks
  • Approx. 9.5”H x 4.5”W
  • Made and marked by Westmoreland at the end of 1940s; marked WG
  • Both in excellent condition, no chips or cracks

Original production of the dolphin candlesticks began around 1840 and continued for about 35-40 years. They say inspiration came from Venetian glassblowers. Multiple US manufactures produced them in various colors and styles during the early to mid 20th century.

If you have seen these referred to as koi fish it is because during the 20th century Imperial Glass made similar ones and they were sold at the Metropolitan Museum of Art gift shop. The Met calls them Koi Fish Candlesticks.

  • All orders ship within 3-5 business days after the order and payment is received but slight delays may occur during high season and holidays.

  • All orders ship out of our San Diego, CA warehouse and those in the US will arrive within 2-9 days, depending on the shipping method selected.

  • We use USPS and UPS as our preferred shipping carriers as we're able to use discounted commercial shipping rates. At the time of shipping, we will select the most cost efficient and expeditious option for your order (USPS Priority/UPS Ground or 3 Day Select) - the less a package is in transit, the better chances of a safe arrival are.

  • Our website is integrated with USPS and UPS which means that shipping costs are automatically calculated during checkout based on your shipping address and size and weight of the box. That said, calculations are not always precise, particularly for multi-product orders. If final shipping costs end up being less than what you paid, we will refund you any significant difference and if it ends up being more, we will  bear that cost.

  • We do not charge any mark ups, handling fees or shipping insurance costs to our customers. We provide complimentary shipping insurance on all orders to protect you against damage that may occur during transit. We have safely shipped thousands of fragile orders and we expertly package the porcelain and glass orders so you can rest assured that your order will arrive to you safely.

  • International customers: depending on your location and size of your order we may be able to offer shipping to you. Please contact us for a shipping estimate.

  • Due to significant new tax and customs implications as a result of Brexit, we are unable to ship to UK effective January 1, 2021. We apologize to our UK customers but as a small business  we are unable to take on the large amount of requirements.
