The quality of this Japanese decorative bowl is really fantastic!
It has a nice weight to it and the design is really unique. Shaped like an octagon, the design include two sets of four panels, one featuring a fish and the other showing a person in front of a pagoda. The inside center features a fish medallion while the rim has a wide wavy blue band around the inside and a solid brown band around the top.
In Japan number 8 is considered a lucky number which explains the octagon shape and number of panels.
