A beautiful pair of early 1900s French majolica plates with fruit motifs (plums and pears) by Sarreguemines France.
Each ceramic plate is brightfully decorated with a fruit motif in purple, red and green against an antique yellow background and glazed on both the top and bottom. Both plates feature a lush yellow and green leaves as the background and scalloped rims.
They display beautifully all year round and are perfect for a French country, Mediterranean or European rustic decor.
- Set of two plates
- 7.5" dia
- Made by the Sarreguemines pottery in Frances circa 1919
- Both in great antique condition with minimal crazing and just one small chip on the rim of the plums plate. The pears plate rim shows a small area with no glaze which was a manufacturing flaw
