Why Use Garden Stools Indoors:

1. Additional Seating: this is the most obvious reason; they provide extra seating for your guests in an unconventional, exotic way.

2. Decorative Accent: this is the biggest benefit as garden stools, particularly the older, vintage ones have such amazing, colorful designs that add visual interest to a room. You can also finding in animal form which are my favorite!

3. Side Table or Stool: Add a tray or basket to create a makeshift side table or stool

4. Footrest or Ottoman: Use a garden stool as a footrest or ottoman for ultimate comfort.

Here are some ideas on how to style your garden stools:

  • place them between two armchairs for guests to rest their cocktails while having a conversation
  • place them by your reading chair or pool lounging chair to hold your book and glasses
  • place one by your bathroom sink to hold hand towels
  • use inside a large walk-in shower!
  • get two and pair them in front of a smaller sofa
  • use it to fill an empty corner of the room. Place a couple of books and a small orchid planter to create some layers

Tips for Choosing the Right Garden Stool:

1. Material: Select a material that complements your existing decor, such as ceramic, wood, or metal. The ceramic ones are by far the most popular ones and offer the most variety of colors, designs and sizes.

2. Size: Choose a stool that fits your space and purpose. Most ones stand about 18" to  20" tall - this size seems to be the most versatile in terms of placement and styling.

3. Style: Pick a design that reflects your personal taste, from modern to traditional. Always listen to your visual senses and don't be afraid of bold colors and patterns. They will bring so much drama to a room!

4. Color: Select a color palette that harmonizes with your existing color scheme and don't be afraid to mix colors and patterns to create a room that feel both comforting and invigorating to you.
