Set of four antique French faience plates depicting four Napoleonic scenes in a black and white transferware design. Made in Choisy-le-Roi (Isle de France, Paris), mid to late 19th century by H. Boulenger & Cie, manufacturer of faience and maiolica.
The four scenes are: Schoenbrunn Palace in Vienna (Napoleon's headquarters during the French occupation 1805-1809); Bataille d'Austerlitz; Francois II visitant Napoleon; and Vous etes grande comme le monde (words spoken by General Kléber to Bonaparte after the victory of Aboukir Battle in 1799).
