An exquisite, late 19th-century French hard-paste porcelain footed low bowl by the celebrated Parisian firm Edmé Samson et Cie. Acquired at an antique market in Florence, Italy, this beautifully preserved bowl features a brilliantly hand-painted interior in the Chinese Export "Famille Rose" palette. The central medallion showcases a blooming peony tree emerging from an ornate stylized planter, surrounded by delicate scrollwork borders alternating with floral reserves. The scalloped rim is accentuated with raised enamel dots and fine gilt accents.
It is mounted in an elegant ormolu (gilt-bronze) setting, featuring a delicate pierced openwork gallery rim, and a sturdy three-footed base cast with classic neoclassical scrolled acanthus feet. The underside displays Samson’s signature pseudo-Oriental character mark framed in a iron-red square box, alongside an underglaze cursive mark.
Highly collectible in its own right, 19th-century Samson porcelain is widely celebrated for its superb quality, historical artistry, and decorative presence.

★★★★★Glenda L.I was impressed with the beautiful quality of my hooked poinsettia throw pillows. They look stylish and lavish on my sofas . The service in getting them before Christmas was remarkable. I had tried another business but to no avail. I am a very happy customer of House of Andaloo.
