Italian made oxolyte sculpture on black plinth of Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s Baroque masterpiece, Apollo and Daphne. Standing an impressive 19 inches tall, it beautifully renders the exact moment of transformation, making it a captivating focal point for any Grandmillennial, Hollywood Regency, or Classical interior. 

The sculpture brings Ovid’s Metamorphoses to life with incredible motion and detail. It depicts the sun god Apollo in desperate pursuit of the nymph Daphne, who has prayed to her father for escape and is actively transforming into a laurel tree. From the intricate bark climbing her legs to her fingers sprouting delicate laurel leaves, Ruggeri’s signature attention to detail perfectly mirrors the fluid movement and emotional intensity of the original 17th-century marble masterpiece.
