A fantastic mid-century Japanese Imari porcelain garden stool in a bold and fresh approach to the traditional Imari palette. Hand-decorated with a very dark navy blue (almost black) in contrast with shinny gold buttons and gold and orange/red chrysanthemums.

Two round medallions with beautiful, slender bamboo stalks and florals and two very large medallions with lucky coin cutouts and more florals. Absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind piece!

  • 18.5"H x 13.5"W x 12"W at the top
  • Japan, mid 20th century
  • Great condition, no chips or cracks, minimal wear consistent with age

Here are some ideas on how to style your garden stools: 

  • place them between two armchairs for guests to rest their cocktails while having a conversation
  • place them by your reading chair or pool lounging chair to hold your book and glasses
  • place one by your bathroom sink to hold hand towels
  • use inside a large walk-in shower!

    • All orders ship out of our San Diego, CA warehouse and those in the US will arrive within 2-9 days, depending on the shipping method selected. 
    • US customers: We use UPS and USPS as our preferred shipping carriers as we're able to use discounted commercial shipping rates. At the time of shipping, we will select the most cost efficient and expeditious option for your order (USPS Priority/UPS Ground or 3 Day Select) - the less a package is in transit, the better chances of a safe arrival are!
    • International customers: We use DHL Express for all international orders. Tracking information will be provided immediately upon shipment. Customers can use their own local currency and a local payment method during checkout. Duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, and no additional costs will be incurred at delivery.
