1950s English Silverplate 5-Light Candelabra by Roberts & Belk in a Neo-Rococo Style

A mid 20th century English silverplated 5-arm candelabra in a classic Neo-Rococo style. It boasts four beautifully sweeping, twisted vine-style branches radiating from an ornate central pillar. The expansive ornate base and bobeches are heavily adorned with classic Neo-Rococo shell motifs, scrollwork, and acanthus leaf details. For versatility and easy cleaning, the candelabra features removable bobeche inserts.

Made by the esteemed English makers at Roberts & Belk in Sheffield, England using original Old Sheffield dies dating from 1785–1860. This is a solid piece with substantial weight to it.

  • Made in Sheffield, England by Roberts & Belk, circa 1940-1950
  • Great condition with minor patina and surface wear consistent with age and use. Fully polished and ready to display. Occasional polishing recommended.
