Absolutely gorgeous and hard to find large Chinese porcelain jar featuring a highly decorative and hand-painted traditional Famille Rose Medallion design. 

It features two cartouches depicting a vibrant scene of Chinese court life with figures in a garden pavilion, and the other showcasing a lush floral and avian display with peonies, butterflies, and a long-tailed bird.

While finished in a traditional Famille Rose palette, the colors here are much softer and primarily pastels with pinks, yellows, blues and greens, all framed by intricate scrolling and floral banding. Jar comes complete with its original domed lid and a custom-fitted, carved wooden stand.
