The underside features a hand-painted numerical mark (205/30), typical of high-quality European makers from the turn of the 20th century century. These are almost certainly German (Silesian) or Austrian (Carlsbad) in origin, dating from roughly 1880 to 1910 and likely produced by a high-end maker like Carl Tielsch (CT Altwasser) or Schmidt & Co. (Altrohlau). These factories often used numeric codes in red or gold to denote specific hand-painted floral patterns.
