The wooden apron is richly decorated with mahogany or fruitwood veneers, gilt ormolu, beaded trim and intricate floral corner mounts. The standout feature is a series of inset porcelain medallions depicting charming "fête galante" scenes—romanticized pastoral vignettes popular in 18th-century French art.

Supported by four tapered, fluted legs adorned with gold-toned collars and acanthus leaf feet. A curved stretcher provides both stability and a graceful visual anchor.
