As America's appetite for high-quality wedding china grew, Lenox started using full-color lithographic decals and Ming, introduced in 1917, was one of the first 2 patterns to launch and would consistently sell out for the next 46 years. The color decals created an identifiable pattern, which gave a hostess an immense satisfaction of knowing that her dinner guests would recognize the Lenox brand, as well as her sophistication in selecting it.
