A fantastic German porcelain figurine depicting Marshal Jean-Baptiste Bessières on a galloping horse and holding a sword. Bessières, the 1st duc d'Istrie, was a French military commander and Marshal of the Empire who served during both the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars.
The figurine is hand-decorated in fine detail with bright, glossy colors particularly Bessières' outfit and his saddle. The base also features thick gold trims with four French Empire Eagles on each corner.
