A impressive pair of vintage ceramic guardian lions (foo dogs) finished in a glossy, monochrome pale blush pink glaze. Featuring bold, stylized facial features, floppy ears, and intricate mane details, this set includes both classic traditional motifs: the male figure resting his right paw on a sacred ball and the female guarding a playful cub beneath her left paw. Their substantial 13-inch height and clean, tonal color palette make them a versatile accent.

The overall stylized carving—specifically the oversized floppy ears, expressive bull-nose features, and smooth monochrome blush-cream glaze—is characteristic of Mid-Century American ceramic decorative arts and art pottery studios producing stylized Asian revival pieces.

  • Set of two figurines
  • 13"H x 9.5"W x 8"D
  • USA, circa 1960-1980
  • Excellent vintage condition with original glossy glaze intact. There is one tiny, faint pinhead-sized nick on the tip of the cub's tail, which is minimal and does not detract from display.

I was impressed with the beautiful quality of my hooked poinsettia throw pillows. They look stylish and lavish on my sofas . The service in getting them before Christmas was remarkable. I had tried another business but to no avail. I am a very happy customer of House of Andaloo.
