Ethan Allen by Baumritter American Queen Anne Nightstands

A pair of early Ethan Allen wood nightstands made before Baumritter changed its company name to Ethan Allen in 1969. Made of solid wood (likely maple) with a warm, rich finish, each nightstand features a single drawer at the top, adorned with an ornate, antique brass-toned pull. Below the drawer, two cabinet doors open to reveal interior storage, including a removable shelf, providing versatile organization options. The doors themselves have a subtle arched panel design.

The nightstands stand on beautifully carved cabriole legs, a hallmark of traditional furniture styles such as Queen Anne or Chippendale, which adds to their sophisticated silhouette. The overall design suggests a blend of early American and colonial influences, typical of Ethan Allen's heritage furniture.

Ethan Allen was originally the brand name Baumritter Furniture used for its first colonial style furniture collection debut in 1939. Given its massive success the company later changed the company name to Ethan Allen.
