A fantastic hand-carved wood gravity well marble machine sculpture by Larry Marley, a well know wood turning artist from Southern California. His gravity wells titled "Gravity Well Marble Machines" are renowned and highly collectable. The well is hyperbolic and it demonstrates the effects of gravity on objects in orbit. The rest of the machine is a whimsical way of getting the metal balls into the funnel.

This well was commissioned and custom made in the late 1990 / early 2000 of cherry, curly maple and ebony. All colors are natural color of the woods used; no stains or pigments are used.

  • All orders ship within 3-5 business days after the order and payment is received but slight delays may occur during high season and holidays.

  • All orders ship out of our San Diego, CA warehouse and those in the US will arrive within 2-9 days, depending on the shipping method selected. 
  • US customers: We use UPS and USPS as our preferred shipping carriers as we're able to use discounted commercial shipping rates. At the time of shipping, we will select the most cost efficient and expeditious option for your order (USPS Priority/UPS Ground or 3 Day Select) - the less a package is in transit, the better chances of a safe arrival are!
  • International customers: We use DHL Express for all international orders. Tracking information will be provided immediately upon shipment. Customers can use their own local currency and a local payment method during checkout. Duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, and no additional costs will be incurred at delivery.   
  • We provide complimentary shipping insurance on all orders to protect against damage that may occur during transit. We have safely shipped thousands of fragile orders and we expertly package the porcelain and glass orders so you can rest assured that your order will arrive to you safely.
