An incredibly rare find! This is an original and complete wedding china set for 8 in the very popular Ming Temple pattern introduced by Lenox in 1950 and produced until 1966. This dinnerware set is what you use to truly impress your guests as the design is quite striking and unique.
The set consists of 8 five-piece place settings for a total of 40 pieces.
As America's appetite for high-quality wedding china grew, Lenox started using full-color lithographic decals and Ming, introduced in 1917, was one of the first 2 patterns to launch and would consistently sell out for the next 46 years. The color decals created an identifiable pattern, which gave a hostess an immense satisfaction of knowing that her dinner guests would recognize the Lenox brand, as well as her sophistication in selecting it.
The Lenox Ming Temple pattern features good fluted rims and an exquisite design of pink/purple floral branches along the rims and yellow butterflies in the center against a classic Lenox white background.
